Escapism

As someone who spent a long time unable to self identify, it is comforting to find inspiration from work that inspires self expression, inclusivity, creativity, and a sense of home. While living within what I felt was the strict confined lines of society, I realized no one was actually holding me to the standards of others harder than I was myself. Once letting go of these expectations, I was truly allowed to flourish with the freedom to be anything I want. This sparked the sense of home feeling I was craving, not with a house or place, but with people, items, emotions, music, anything that enlightened those feelings of comfort and safety while still testing my limits and pushing my boundaries to continue exploring. Strongly influenced by emotions and nature, taking inspirations from my surrounds and how they make me feel is the most important aspect to me.
